Thomsonite

Thomsonite (mesole, or comptonite), named by its discoverer, the English mineralogist Brook after his friend Thomson, of Glasgow, is a zeolitic mineral, occurring generally in masses of a radiated structure. Thomsonite is found fairly abundantly in cavities of phonolites and basalt rocks, more rarely in pegmatite veins. It is a hydrous silicate of alumina, lime, and soda.
