Talus

An accumulation of angular rock debris at the base of a cliff or steep slope that was produced by physical weathering. A talus is a sloping heap of fragments of rock lying at the foot of a precipice. Also known as rubble; scree. Coarse and angular rock fragments derived from and accumulated at the base of a cliff or steep, rocky slope. The accumulated heap of such fragments.
