pressure ridge

1. A seismic feature resulting from transverse pressure and shortening of the land surface. 2. An elongate upward movement of the congealing crust of a lava flow. 3. A ridge of glacier ice. 4. A ridge or wall of hummocks where one ice floe has been pressed against another.
