Microseism

A vibration of the Earth that is unrelated to earthquake activity – instead it is caused by wind, moving trees, ocean waves or human activity. A weak, continuous, oscillatory motion in the earth having a period of 1-9 seconds and caused by a variety of agents, especially atmospheric agents; not related to an earthquake.
