liquid-dominated hydrothermal reservoir

Any geothermal system mainly producing superheated water (often termed brines); hot springs, fumaroles, and geysers are the surface expressions of hydrothermal reservoirs; an example is the hot-brine region in the Imperial Valley-Salton Sea area of southern California.
