Ibe wind

A local strong wind which blows through the Dzungarian Gate (western China), a gap in the mountain ridge separating the depression of Lakes Balkash and Ala Kul from that of Lake Ebi Nor; the wind resembles the foehn and brings a sudden rise of temperature, in winter from about -15 to about 30øF(-20 to – 1øC).
