Haanel depth rule

A rule for estimating the depth of a magnetic body, provided the body may be considered magnetically equivalent to a single pole; the depth of the pole is then equal to the horizontal distance from the point of maximum vertical magnetic intensity to the points where the intensity is one-third of the maximum value.
