Equatorial Undercurrent

1. A subsurface current flowing from west to east in the Indian Ocean near the 450-foot (150-meter) depth at the equator during the time of the Northeast Monsoon. 2. A permanent subsurface current in the equatorial region of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
