Elaterite

Elaterite is a natural bitumen, soft, brown and elastic found in the lead mines of Castleton in Derbyshire and in Edinburgh. Light-brown to black asphaltic pyrobitumen that is moderately soft and elastic. Also known as elastic bitumen; mineral caoutchouc.
