chlorite stack

Aggregate of chlorite, commonly lens shaped, occurring in microlithons of many slates. Chlorite may be alternating with white mica. (001) planes of chlorite are commonly oblique to slaty cleavage. Chlorite stacks are probably pre- or early syntectonic porphyroblasts
