Carnotite is an ore of uranium and vandium. Found in sand, sandstones and around petrified trees. Probably formed as a deposition from meteoric waters. It is strongly radioactive and has the formulae K2(UO2)2(VO4)2u 3H2O and a relative hardness of 1.
